Dean subconsciously plays more stepford-wife-in-the-kitchen-with-bacon-sizzling-in-the-pan when Cas stays in the bunker. Lunch? Making some burgers wearing my fancy apron, my angel. Afternoon snack? Oh let me put together some nachos and Dean Winchester Special dip. Midnight cravings? Here's a 5 course meal with pretentious names, now will you fold me like a lawn chair???

It happened to me TWICE!
“go to hell” is basic.
“i hope you get queer baited for 21 years by 2 of your favorite characters, get strung along into thinking theyll be confirmed as canon soon only for none of that to happen and instead watch them go their separate ways in the end" is smart. it’s possible. it’s terrifying. It happened to ME

In der Version in Deutscher Gebärdensprache gewinnt Leo die Taubenwette am Ende einfach 😂 Der Gebärdende zählt nicht nur bis zur eins runter, er erreicht die eins auch noch lange bevor die Taube wegfliegt...

I know I’m dreaming here but I really want Jim and Frenchie to have a weird little friendship this season. Like they were both kidnapped and as far as they know everyone else is dead so I’m just imagining them trusting each other out of necessity and then eventually getting just attached enough that they go a little out of their way to watch each other’s backs. I mean they still both have their own interests to protect and if Jim got a chance to escape and it meant leaving Frenchie behind or vice versa I think they’d still go for it but like checking after they raid a wedding to make sure they both made it out alright. Trying not to let each other out of their sight because they let the others out of their sight and now they don’t know what happened to them. That kind of thing.

Sorry not sorry but Piper and Hazel being able to speak French to each other and understand it better than Leo and Reyna speaking Spanish to each other is still the funniest thing HOO ever did

so because i'm a little insane, i took a look at the different translations of the episode titles of season 5 (german, french, spanish). and most are literal translations (e. g. le pont -> the bridge), but some of them are actually quite revealing?!
now blabla, the translations might change and i do doubt they're all that significant, because i doubt the actual writers give feedback on them(?). but i still think it's worth sharing! i don't speak any more languages, but maybe there are more hints in the translations of the titles into non-romanic/non-germanic languages? please share if anyone has any insights because i love languages!!!!
ep.1: the crawl, die suche, mission de secours (rettungsmission), al rescate (zur rettung)
ep. 2: the vanishing of ....., la disparation de..., das verschwinden von
ep. 3: the turnbow trap, die turnbow falle, le piège
ep. 4: sorcerer, der zauberer, sorcellerie, hechicero (zauberer/medizinmann)
ep. 5: shock jock, der stromschlag, plan de choc
ep. 6: escape from camazotz, die flucht von Camazotz, s'échapper de camazotz
ep. 7: the bridge, die brücke, le pont
ep. 8: the rightside up, zurück in der realen welt, le monde à l'endroit, el mundo derecho
concerning ep. 1, it's interesting that really only in englisch they used "crawl" (as in: a motion of moving forwards or backwards). in german it's "the search", in french more something like "rescue mission" and in spanish (correct me if i'm wrong, my sibling is my source for this and they only had like 2 years of spanish at school and weren't all that good) it means "to the rescue". maybe this ep. is about rescuing max? by crawling? i don't fucking know i'll leave it to the theorists.
ep. 4 is really only notable because of the gendered implications of "sorcerer". so, in german they chose the masculine form (so you would expect a male wizard, unless they are using something called the "generic masculinum" in which case the gender of the person the title refers to could be anything). in french, they chose to just say "sorcery" and not gender it. and in spanish (again, might be wrong) they picked "hechicero", which can either be translated to the male version of sorcerer or it's the adjective (?). it would be rly interesting to know what the most common translation of "sorcerer" into spanish/french is, because it could also imply things like what kind of sorcery is at subject here. e.g. whether it's healing powers or more like dark magic. assuming the "sorcerer" in question is definitely male (because of the spanish/german translation), the ep. could be about will?
now the ep. 5 title in englisch has something to do with moderators/interviewers, a "shock jock" defined as someone with a mike and something funny, entertaining, "offensive", often comedic and even truthful to say, that simply for some reason pisses people off. for the record i have never heard this term before, but i'm not a native englisch speaker (thank god for that), so i dont really know anything about the history of this term/who it has been used for. but funnily enough in all three other languages it means something mostly unrelated. the german "der stromschlag" (literally "electric shock"), paired with the french (very similar as in spanish) "plan de choc" implies some plan involving electricity. but of course, there's the double meaning of being "shocked" (emotionally and physically/electrically).
now looking at ep. 8, i'm not that sure because i don't know the exact translation they used for the "upside down" respectively. in german, there's just no real equivalent, it's just called "the other side" (?). howeverrrrrr the german title for ep. 9 can be translated as "back in the real world", which to me sounds like the upside down was never "real" at all, just some dream? but you kinda have that also in englisch with them having chosen "right" instead of "down" as the opposite of up. so the "right" world already means something like "real". same in french/spanish, i think.
and yeah, that's it. let me know if there are other notable translations.
